Leave the stress at home.

We have gone to Shady Nook at Pike Lake for decades and it is nice to go into our cabin and know that we left the stress behind.

Cabins are clean, nothing fancy but meet our needs well. They all have a ring for campfires. Or, pull your own camper and park it for the weekend.

Gloria's food is exceptional, plentiful and reasonable. Gloria, Larry and their staff are personable and helpful.

The regular campers are friendly and willing to tell you what the fish are biting on. Pan fish are our favorite and we usually catch enough for a fish fry when we visit for a weekend.

The lake is spring fed and only 192 acres, big enough to fish on but the skiers don't use it much (which we like). There are loons and an eagle on the lake. What more can a person ask for.

Shady Nook Resort-girls weekend

Myself and four other women spent a fun filled relaxing weekend at the Shady Nook. With a wonderful Pike Lake view we bar-b-qued out and threw back quit a few drinks. The locals were great and gave us a pontoon boat tour of the Lake. If you are looking for a place to get away from the city life, but still have a great time, look them up!
