Had a major problem with loss of power. Called Mike of Belco Electric and he came right out to check it out. Problem required complete replacement from the Breaker Box (pre 1980) to the NYSEG wiring from the pole. Mike made numerous calls to get everything set up on an expedited schedule to complete the project the next day. He was here when he said he would be (a first for me) and did what he promised to do. Outstanding job by a professional. I don't know if he was the lowest price contractor and don't care. His work left me with nothing to do but watch. In hours he had me up and running. Priceless !!!!

My home was built in 1880 and the electrical system was a mess when I bought it. I had minor work done when I bought it, but ended up needing all of the electrical in the basement and downstairs unit ripped out and replaced to fix a problem between the basement and the first floor bedroom. I had never hired a contractor before, and I needed it done quickly and correctly.

Mike from Belco came to give me the estimate, and was very honest and professional from the very first phone call. He managed to get all necessary permits, and his crew in my house within a week of the estimate. The job was completed over four days. Every morning, he showed up on time and walked me through the progress from the day before. He always answered all of my questions each morning, and addressed issues I had with the work that was done the day prior. For example, I requested an extra light in the basement by the laundry in addition to what he had installed the first day. When I got home from work that afternoon, I had the light I requested.

I could not be more thrilled with the finished product. My unit in the house is unbelievably more functional now that I have the extra light switches and outlets. He even replaced the outdoor light fixture on my porch, and put in two sets of exterior plugs. Best of all, the final cost came in slightly under the estimate. I would HIGHLY recommend Belco electric to friends, and will be using them again to re-wire the second floor unit in the future.

Highly knowledgeable, fairly priced, fast response time, they replaced my service wires outside the home and upgraded us to a 200 amp panel.would recommend to others...
