Hello - I'm going to counter "Plaineglish"'s "review". I'm pretty sure he/she is some kid, or just an idiot troll looking to diss a good business for whatever reason. Maybe a competitor? I'm not a huge local wine-buyer but I am objective and I do know wine. Bottles and Corks has a very good selection - one of the largest in the Twin-Tiers, and especially of NYS wines They are a small boutique store compared with something like GCP (Horseheads) - GCP is a warehouse type liquor supplier whereas B&C is more of a boutique - but their selection is certainly not "small". Secondly - they are very knowledgeable, particularly about Finger Lakes wines In fact - there's quite a few producers they have that you will NOT find anywhere else except at the actual vineyards. B&C has created relationships with those vintners and will often have things you'd have to drive a couple hours to get at the winery. The downside to B&C , if there is one, is price. They are not a discount outlet, and Market Street Corning is a relatively high rent district. Their prices aren't terrible, but if you want to save every last penny you'd need to drive 20 minutes down to GCP in Horseheads. That's a big hassle and not worth it unless you're buying multi-case quantities IMO. Bottom line B&C is a great little hometown boutique wine store - do business with them, Corning needs a good wine store.
