Provided by YP.comOn July 17, 2015 I took my 92 Toyota Paseo into Corona Transmission to have a lower speedometer cable replaced. I was charged over $140.00 to have it fixed, a couple months later it wasn't working again. I was told I needed a special order speedo cable that would cost over $160.00. After a long conversation with Jesse he was to order the special cable. Once I was to pic it up he would not show me any proof he paid that much for a cable that would normally cost $40.00 at most. Then it turns out after asking to look at the completed work the cable turned out to be not the special order cable. After asking why I was paying over $300.00 for a speedo cable repair on a $1400.00 car, he told me to leave his business and handed me my key. I offered $20.00 to pay for the lower cable her replaced again but he didn't take it. Somehow this didn't seem right so I put it on here. Plus a business been around this long should have more reviews.

Provided by YP.comTerrible business he takes on work he can't guarantee he can fix and then tells you to take it to the dealership after he's taken your money. Never take your Toyota to this place...Please learn from me...I spent $4,000 to have a complete transmission ovehaul, its 10,000 miles out of warranty and has the same problem, and he said it would be another $4,000 for him to fix again. He accepts no owneship, and now tells me i should just take it to the dealership. PLEASE go somewhere else with the experience to fix you car right, and with the character to guarantee their work.

Provided by YP.comThe Gentleman that helped me and my brother out was very helpful. My brother put Diesel in our car, the gentleman helped us immediately and charged us reasonably. Very kind man, will definitely try his best to find and fix any problem you may have.
Thanks

Provided by YP.comCorona Transmission is by far the best shop for automotive repair within 50 miles of Corona. Jesse, the owner, is a conscientious, honest, and knowledgeable mechanic who finds and fixes auto problems the first time around. He also knows quality parts and which third party parts are better than factory parts. And he keeps track of factory updates and revisions to factory parts so he always installs the updated and improved parts. Also, he keeps track of all automobile recalls and the specific problems so he knows which corrected updated parts to use. My car had oil leaks, differential problems, and brake problems that several other mechanics couldn't fix. After spending way too much money with those others I found Corona Transmission and thought I'd found nurvana(sp?). Voila, an honest mechanic with a penchant for doing things right the first time. And, his prices are great. But if your expecting cheapskate work, go back to the cheapskate and pay several times over. To top it off, his Office Manager, Melissa, is extremely knowledgeable and works with Jesse in the shop sometimes and really knows her car repair. You can actually talk with her on the phone about car stuff and she knows what she's talking about. (She does all the computer research for recalls and parts updates for Jesse.)

Provided by YPmobileI have a 91' Corolla. My car felt like it wanted to turn of at a stop light or just being parked. So I took it to Corona Transmissions. Just from hearing and seeing what it was doing Jesse told me it was an intermedite misfire. I was recommended a tuneup. So I did that and now my car is running strong. :D The people there are very nice. They know what they are doing. (@Gra8choice, I doubt there is anyone who would do a transmission for $700 dude. Your story sounds fishy.)

Provided by YP.comI was unlucky to find this place. My truck had transmission problem. So I went there. I was intrigued by the details I was given that I may not need new or transmission rebuilt. They can check that for me for price of $300. There mechanic Jesse told me that if he is unable to to fix this by adjusting the bands, he will rebuild the transmission and $300 will be applied towards rebuilding the transmission which would cost me around $2500++ but I was not informed that I get warranty for only 12,000 miles/1 year only. This is ridiculously low warranty.
I ended up loosing $300 dollars as found a place where they rebuilt the transmission for only $700 only and they had warranty for 75 thousand miles/3 years. I wish they were honest in tell me what is coming my way.
I highly recommend this place if you want to loose money. Good Luck
