P.S. 143 Louis Armstrong provides educational services to more than 1,200 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising activities and special programs, including family nights, reading activities and musical shows. It offers the English Language Learners program. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, science and social studies. P.S. 143 Louis Armstrong supports a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, baseball, football, and track and field. The school also offers a range of extracurricular activities that includes music, dance and physical education. In addition, it provides special education programs to gifted and talented students.
