The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is one of the largest, public tennis facilities in the world. Established in 1978, the center features a 20,000-seat stadium. It has a staff of more than 20 employees and conducts programs, clinics, private lessons and leagues. The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center hosts several tournaments, including Men's and Women s College Tennis Invitational and Jana Hunsaker Memorial Eastern Wheelchair Championships. The center offers the QuickStart Tennis program for children under the age of 10. It also hosts several meetings and conventions and professional development workshops. The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is operated by the United States Tennis Association for the City of New York.
