Provided by YP.comI really wanted to give this place ZER0 stars, but it made me put at least one...
This is a nice property, but the absolute WORST management i've ever experienced in my life. When I first signed up to move in the placed me with a roommate. I was happy and we were coordinating for our apartment. A week later I get a letter stating I have new roommates and this happened a good four times... After moving in I was paired with two freshman that were NOTHING like what i had asked for when I filled out that roommate pairing sheet. I then knew that this apartment was VERY scatter brained. Living with these girls were intolerable and management said they couldn't do anything about it until something bad happened. Soon after.. something bad happened and the cops were called. The girls were breaking all the rules of the complex and I was then forced to move out... I started getting random bills and was then told by the manager Leslie, that I was no longer allowed to use the facilities (even though I was paying for them). When I was moved into a new apartment she refused to have the room cleaned from the previous tenant... there was a bug problem, a smell issue, and much more... Thank goodness I was able to break my lease with no penalty thanks to my lawyer... He explained this to be one of the worst apartment complexes he's ever dealt with... The gates surrounding the apartment do NOT close as they are supposed to, so whoever wants to come in can do so freely. theft and vandalism occur on a normal basis here and nothing is ever enforced. IF you ever need help with ANYTHING be prepared for a huge run around... nothing will ever get done. If you put a maintenance request in, give it at least a week or two to get done... Also, they come into your apartment whenever they feel like it. I was homes one day in my bedroom and they didn't know... I caught them going through my kitchen drawers and my roommates room when she wasn't home... I didn't feel safe at this apartment which is why i did my all to leave. I find it pretty funny that out of 11 comments only 3 are good and the three are written by staff of campus quarters... lol
This property could do great things if it got rid of Leslie Ramirez as a manager. She is rude, unwilling to help, a liar, and will do whatever it takes to rip you off. She is the most UNPROFESSIONAL person i have ever dealt with.
If I would have read the reviews of Campus Quarters before renting, I would have NOT moved here. This place is a scam and a very awful experience for anyone that comes and goes...

Provided by YPmobileHad a horrible experience while living there. Ghost charges kept adding onto my monthly bill, rec rooms were a mess, computer lab never works, lights go off as they please, fire alarms are pulled in the middle of the night and arent turned off till morning, overall wouldnt recommend living here. Finished my lease YET shows on my credit report as owing 8000!!? Getting a lawyer is a must! Just do not move in here.

Provided by YP.comI was SO happy to move in here, and then once I moved in I started waking up with bites on my feet and ankles. At first I thought it was mosquitos but turns out they were FLEA BITES. We don't even HAVE a pet, I have no idea how I have fleas in an apartment I JUST moved into. I'm so livid because 1) nobody gives a crap about it when I went to talk to them. When I went in to tell them, I even showed the girl my feet and the bites, and she was too nonchalant about it. She acted like there's nothing they could do until possibly Wednesday. I could tell that since it was not her problem, she wasn't going to act on it. 2) They say someone ONLY comes out on Wednesdays, IF they even decide to come to my room that day, so I'd have to wait 4 days to help fix a problem that is getting worse. They just don't want to pay extra money to have someone come out on a day they aren't scheduled. But sorry, this is THEIR problem. I wake up with more and more bites each day and nobody even cares. 3) There is no after hours number to call them when nobody is in the office, and I've had to spend around 40+ dollars of my own money that I cannot afford to even spend at the moment because nobody will help me, so I had to try to help/fix the problem myself the best I can. Honestly, if I wasn't being bitten every night all over I wouldn't be making such a big deal about this. But this is THEIR problem that I moved in with, so they should be obligated to help me since I'm paying them a lot of money every month. My family and I are so mad at you all.

Provided by YP.comCampus Quarters has by far been the best place I've lived at here in Corpus Christi! Compared to horrible experiences I have had in the past they sure knew how to make this place feel like home. Since the first day of contact they have always answered any of my questions and problems. Their staff really stood out to me and showed how much they cared about their residents. Their rates are a little high however with everything that is included its worth it.

Provided by YP.comNever rent from a place that cannot show you the ACTUAL apartment you are going to be living in. The model apartment doesn't show the junkie roommates, holes in the walls and liquor bottles spewed all over the place. Never rent from a place that has onsite management that cannot make simple management decisions and has to contact "corporate" for everything unless it's to take your money, who by the way will never respond to your phone calls but will contact you immediately if they need something. The whole getting someone to take over your lease should you need to leave the place because of safety reasons or filthy living conditions will not ever happen and you will pay them every month for the entire of your lease - although at time of lease signing you are told you can easily transfer if needed. If you are a committed and serious about your grades and advancing into your furture type of student who also works a full time job and needs to sleep and live in a "normal" type environment, this isn't the place for you. Since the month moved in there has been an "energy overage" charge between 30-45 dollars that I've had to pay and that includes the month of december when I went home for three weeks and only lived in actual room for one week of the month ($45 overage paid). You have got to be kidding me. Will not be renewing the lease at a place where the cops are on site three to four times a week to address noise complaints, auto breakins and break up fights between roommates because they allow others to live in the apartment who aren't on the lease and run up the utilities. Also, if there is a complaint for noise, ALL roommates regardless if they were there or involved get the warning letter with the $100 fine amount for noise complaints or whatever the complaint is. Your roommate smoking in the apartment? You ALL get fined, not just the one doing it.

Provided by YP.comThis place would get 0 stars if it was possible. While the apartments and grounds are tolerably well maintained, management is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Maintenance occasionally enters your home to leave new and mysterious charge notifications while you are away and one employee has on several occasions attempted to force his way into my apartment while I was home with both deadbolts in place. When he found that he could not enter, he proceeded to pound violently on the door for around 30 minutes until I finally let him in against my best wishes. As previously mentioned, you are constantly contacted with new and sometimes considerable charges; the understandable (but overpriced) electricity overage charges, the mysterious maintenance fees of up to 300 dollars, and the seemingly random fee of $3.97 which management has thus far refused to explain. Failure to pay these fees (even the silly ones) can result in huge late fees being tacked on to charges whose origins management doesn't always seem able to explain. This is in addition to rent which on rare occasions management will fail to record as being paid. If you insist on living here, force the management to give you a receipt for every charge, investigate why you are being charged, and be prepared for serious infringement on your privacy on a somewhat regular basis.

Provided by YP.comThis place is by far the worst place I've ever lived at. They have lost my rent twice! I have had to take time away from work to deal with both of these situations. The girls who work there no nothing. Anytime I call to ask a question they say "you'll have to talk to management about that" but guess what management is never around. I am so done with this place . When I first moved in the apartment was filthy and there were roaches in the apartment. My recommendation look else where for a place to live.

Provided by YP.comThis is not the best place to live. They are getting more money out of you when really you might as well go stay in an apartment complex and pay your own utilities. They do not ONLY have an ENERGY CAP BUT AN WATER CAP as well. Come on now cant I take a shower and wash my clothes? Also be prepared to go over your energy cap every month and be prepared for them to act like they do not know why. If you leave during winter break or summer break and your roommates or roommate goes over it because they are a 26 year old bum be prepared for them to tell you that it is not their problem and that its like "you having a little sister and they take your toy and you go complain to the toy factory". Yeah that's what the MANAGER well temporary one who came in from San Antonio told me and my roommate. Isn't she sweet? Yeah but that is CAMPUS QUARTERS for you its only lady in the front office who cares to even listen to your problems. So best of luck living in campus quarters because they will room you with anybody sometimes even if you are a 5-7 years apart.

Provided by YP.comLet me start by saying if I could I would give this place 0 stars. Please take the time to read the entire post before you waste a year of your time and money at this place.
I agree with the above ratings about theft. My car was also broken into. Its sad when management has to tell students to "bring all belongings home" during Spring Break. This is because people would literally break into homes (locked or unlocked) and begin to steal. Also, this place is not "safe". I have NEVER seen a courtesy officer. The gates are always open because people keep braking them.
The fees are outrageous. I pay $755 to share a 2 bedroom apartment. That's $1510 a month for rent for 2 people!! I was also charged a $100 pet fee because the manager "heard" a dog. He barged into my apartment (with his keys, unannounced and without my permission). Upon entrance he stated that he was doing "random checks for broken appliances". I personally watched him search all of the rooms. He went in my bathroom, my room, looked in closets and did not physically see a dog yet I still had to pay the fee. "The $30 "electricity cap" per person is bogus. EVERY month my roommate and I would go over for electricity. It became so bad that we would leave the A/C off at all times. Electricity for us was a luxury essentially because we were annoyed with paying ridiculous overage fees.
Honestly, it would be best to put your son/daughter in an apartment. Don't be fooled by the model apartment they show you because the 2 and 3 bedroom look nothing like that floor plan. You think you are getting a good deal because its furnished but its not a good deal at all. I guarantee you that the furniture in these apartments are worth less than $500. The bedroom comes with a full size bed, 1 dresser, and one desk with chair. The living room has 2 couches (an individual and a larger couch). The kitchen is probably the nicest thing about these apartments. It is spacious and modern, however be aware EVERY time you use the stove the alarms will go off. The water pressure in the bathrooms are also extremely low.
If you do not mind your son/daughter constantly being hassled with fees and theft then Campus Quarters is the best place for you. If not, bite the bullet and look elsewhere for the safety of your child and money.

Provided by YP.comGreat place to live. Hands down, the most clean of Corpus Christi apartments. I lived on campus for the first yer and absolutely hated it. When campus quarters opened up, I moved off campus and into this great place. I renewed my lease because it is close to campus, next to the bus stop, and safe. They have police officers that patrol all night which is what I really like. The girls at the front desk are very nice. All bills included is easy for me to pay because I only pay one person. Oh, and the pool is pretty awesome :)

Provided by YP.comI had a horrible experience with this place I had got me a room when they first opened this place last year and everything was good till the end I had a freaking 400$ bill in charges that I didn't even know of, they also will not even cooperate with me on everything Im trying to figure out whats going on and they just said this is your last notice and we are not responding anymore they suck

Provided by YP.comI never really write reviews, but Campus Quarters is so bad that I figured I would give it a shot. If you are reading this, don't waste your time here. The other reviews are right: this place is horrible. The management is a joke and the manager is the worst. She really needs to find another job, one that does not involve dealing with people, as she is very rude and condescending. I pay rent early every month and have not caused any problems, and yet she is very hateful. You would think that she would at least be respectful and polite to the residents. There is also a huge drug and party scene at Campus Quarters that has yet to be addressed, and there have been several break ins. I do not feel safe here at all. The gate is broken most of the time and there are a lot of shady people that hang out in the parking lots. I would stay away unless you want to feel unsafe and deal with horrible management.

Provided by YP.comCampus Quarters is a hell hole. It looks prefect on the surface, but after renting for the past months, this has turned into a huge nightmare. From the horrible manager who screws residents over to roommates who refuse to pay electric and do drugs all the time, to the trash and mold on the grounds, everything has turned out to be horrible. Electric is also extremely overpriced here and you can only use Reliant. The girls in the office are friendly but do not know what they are talking about half of the time and will tell you anything you want to hear in order to get you out of their hair. The manager is a witch who doesn't give a care about any of the residents and will do anything to weasel more money out of you. Beware of campus Quarters. I would give this place no stars if I could.

Provided by YP.comDo NOT rent from Campus Quarters! This shared common area model is terrible. My college-kid signed a year lease and had to get the electricity in his name. The management then added two roommates who are constantly delinquent on their share of the electric. Campus Quarters management does nothing to help and tells my son he is responsible to work it out with his roommates--even though he had no choice in who the roommates would be.
