Since 1993, Communication Disorders/Academic Therapy has provided services for families with children from newborns through high school in the areas of speech and language disorders such as articulation, delayed language, stuttering, cleft pallet, and voice as well as those who need help with academics. We have over 40 years of experience and hold the certificate of clinical competency from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) in the area of speech/language pathology. We are also certified by the Texas Educational Agency (TEA) in learning disabilities and educational diagnostics. For those who have difficulty with academics, especially in the areas of reading and math, we work to find the source of the problem, remidiate it, and build on it. Through the use of 1-to-1 therapy and by encouraging actively involved parents, we work to provide the student the tools that they need to be able to express themselves clearly, be successful in their studies, and prepare to get the most out of what life has to offer.
