Food inside tacos was burned. Tried to get money back, but the owner's son refused said that since I had already eaten some of it (a bite) there was nothing he could do. I even asked for store credit and was told no. Worse place ever.

My husband is a retired Staff Sergeant of the Army. He served 8 years before he was retired medically. He suffers from a neurological disorder secondary to his service related injury. He went in yesterday to pickup dinner, and decided to go inside to order. Due to his disorder, it is very difficult for him to deal with the public, as most people stare and it is uncomfortable for him. The staff informed him they were closed for a private event, and pointed to a very small sign that said they were closed. When he walked away, he heard laughter. Not sure whether it was because of his appearance or the event, my husband shrugged it off, but stopped to take a picture of the door to get the hours for future reference and got inside the car. He phoned me to see where I wanted to eat, and realized the photo he took did not show the business hours clearly so he walked back and took another picture. This is when he was approached by Isabel Ruiz and her cousin, who claimed to be the owner. They began cursing at him and stated they were calling the police on my husband. My husband became alarmed when he realized Isabel Ruiz wasn't calling anyone, and called the police himself when a second man, both were dressed all in black, and both displayed pin pointed pupils, which my husband was trained to recognize as heroin users. Once police officers arrived, they changed their story and became apologetic and said he was welcome to return. Also, the two men who were bullying my husband disappeared and left the scene before officers arrived. Of course, after their behavior we could never face this business again. I decided to write a review so others could decide whether to support their business or choose one of the many other taco places and Isabel Ruiz wrote back saying my husband was lying to me and no one cursed at him, despite the fact that I was on the phone and could hear everything. She also goes on to state my husband's behavior was strange. I feel she's bullying us, yet continues to say we're welcome back. This is not a business Corpus Christi needs in it's community, I've read several reviews on their Facebook about their poor customer service and accusations. I'm saddened that my husband was treated so horrendously and they can't even give a sincere apology for a simple misunderstanding.

They have HORRENDOUS customer service and called a disabled Veteran "strange" and a liar! Avoid at all costs.

takes forever to get food and when you finally get the food the order is ALWAYS wrong!!!!!!! best tacos is tapatia on weber!!!!!
