The view was great for the 4th of July fireworks but the food........... My steak was ordered medium and came out RAW (deep red cold RAW, not pink, RAW). Sent it back while the rest of the table ate their steak and when it came back it was RAW again. Sent it back and it finally came out and was still RAW. This was extremely disappointing as Republic of Texas was always a good place to eat. No apology from the management only the waitress who obviously was not the one who cooked the meal. I will not go back and will encourage anyone I know not to go there. This type of service is totally unacceptable.

We had a party of 20 eat here for Valentine's Day and we all had such a terrible experience we could only laugh. The menu was limited, the food was poor, and we paid WAY too much (about $100 / couple). I have lived in the area for 10 years and I'm certain that the restaurant owner or manager put in the 4-star review because I do not know of anyone in the Corpus area that feels that strongly about the Republic of Texas restaurant.

This is my favorite place to eat in all of the Corpus Christi area. It is located at the top of the Omni hotel right on the bayfront. Everything is good from the steaks to the seafood prepared to your tastes. Reservations are recommended.
