This place has the worst customer service ever!!!! I am very disappointed. I went with my boyfriend and little sister for her birthday. It was the second time I had been there and the first time at the hibachi. It was also my little sisters first time there.We had said that we wanted to share which would have been $5 extra per person. Everything went great except when we got the bill. She charged us each for a whole meal after we had said we wanted to share. She just casually apologized like it was no big deal. So we left and I called and talked to the "manager". He just apologized and said he couldn't do anything because we had already eaten the food. He said we should have told him before hand and he could have fixed the problem. It was my first time at the hibachi. How was I supposed to know if it was correct or not? He gave us all rice,vegetables and filet mignon. I thought it was sharing. Needless to say I will not be going back. I can't believe the lack of customer service this place has. I have nothing but negative things to say about this place now. So customers be sure you yell out your order if you have a waitress named Edith because she obviously has hearing problems and the manager could care less about you. Thanks Takeniwa for ruining my sisters birthday and not giving a damn about your customers!

Really good!!!

If your from corpus or a visitor you have got to try this restarunt. I have been there at least four times and everytime I have gone I have had good food and great service. I recommend the creamy walnut shrimp or the Mongolian beef.

BEWARE!

.... Food is Good... well ok if you forget about how much the SERVICE (in search for a better word, but cant find one) SUCKS! I have been to TAKE NIWA 3 times now hoping each time it will be better than the last. Here is how each of my visits went...



1. Went with a group of friends on the Hibachi side, ordered chicken fired rice (which they dont have on the Hibachi Menu... stupid) as I watched all my friends eating and having a good time my FOOD NEVER COMES... I ask the waiter whats going on and he apologizes to say he forgot and they will start working on it... 15 mins later and close to closing for the restaurant I call him over again... Yeah he forgot for the second time! "Its ok dude I'm really annoyed and dont want it anymore!"



2. Walk in, get seated on the Hibachi side across from 2 families already eating. Look at the menu for 10 minutes and STILL not greeted by a server. Then the server walks in helps the other 2 families and looks at us and walks out... REALLY!? We left!



3. Walked in at lunch, there was already a party waiting in front of us waiting for SOMEONE to show their face and seat them. We wait for a couple of minutes and someone went to the back to get a workers attention... Finally we get seated at the Hibachi Side with the party that was in front of us. Couple minutes later a waiter comes to us and tells us instead of being able to order off the LUNCH menu we basically HAVE to order from the dinner menu which has prices at least $7 to $12 more! SO OK but whatever... The waitress leaves to get our drinks (ALL WATERS NOT HARD TO GET) She comes back 10 minutes later, gives us our waters and walks away.... Then only coming back every ten minutes to check on the party that has already been served across from us... After her 3rd visit to them and not saying a WORD to us, I flag her down and say "CAN WE ORDER NOW". She explains she will be right back. Ten minutes later she arrives. We order then the other party orders and SPECIFICALLY tells the waitress that she is ALLERGIC to SHRIMP (pretty important stuff to let the food handlers know right!?) so the waitress says, OK not a problem. Our HIBACHI Cook comes and starts cooking. Nice guy, entertaining, kind. BUT the MEATS on his pan are ALL TOUCHING! Um not good for people with FOOD ALLERGIES! He starts cooking and the woman with the Allergy is paying attention to every move. She tells the Cook that she has the Allergy and he tells her "OK next time you need to tell your waitress when your order"... YEAH SHE DID! So he calls the waitress and tells her something in Japanese and she argues back something in Japanese and leaves. She gets a separate meat for her that hasn't touched the shrimp. The HIBACHI Cook makes her meat not even 4 inches away from the shrimp! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Using the same cooking utensils as the shrimp... FOR REAL. She explains to him that its OK she doesn't want it anymore. He tries to make his plea saying the meat is still OK for her to eat... then asks another waiter for someone in the back to make her meat away from everything in the back kitchen. By this time everyone has eaten and is finished. They bring her the cooked meat in a TO GO box and STILL GIVE HER A BILL with EVERYTHING on it! ARE YOU SERIOUS!



Thats it I am D.O.N.E with this PLACE! BEWARE CORPUS AND VISITORS
