Jill Carlson stole our car (license # 4AUE068) last week and stole the title paper (pink slip). She forged the owner's name and registered the car in her name. The Costa Mesa Police Report on this is: 11-13634. I bought the car new in 1998 and gave it to Robert A. Valdez (my son) 2 years ago. The car is a dark green Honda Accord. Jill Carlson drove the car to Colorado where she is currently living. The Colorado Springs Police Dept. has been informed that she's living there (according to her friend), but police will do nothing unless she's stopped for a violation. We hope you can contact the police if she tries to register the car again or requests Colorado license plates. Can you help us. Phone: 949-500-6555. Thank you for helping us in this matter. I would give you 5 stars if you can help get our car returned to my son

The worst DMV I have ever been...

The worst DMV I have ever been too (and I've been the ones all over inner-ctiy Los Angeles) So I went to the Costa Mesa DMV thinking it would be worth a try. Got there fifteen minutes after opening. The line was almost to the door, still inside the building, and was actually NOT LONG at all. Great, I thought. Forty minutes later, I was barely halfway from the front, and the line had not moved in ten minutes!!! The guy at the information counter (who was giving out the service tickets) actually had customers filling out their forms and verifying everything right-then-and-there before moving on to the next customer. This was an Asiatic-looking-middle-aged-man with apparently no common sense. Even the appointment line was hopelessly backed up! At all other DMVs I've been to, the person at the ticket counter says 'What do you need?', then gives the appropriate form with a numbered ticket, and on your way. But no, this worker keeps the people there, discussing the particulars of customers technical DMV problems (normally done at a subsequent numbered booths), and incredibly waits for the person to finish filing out forms before moving on to the next person! After forty minutes of waiting, and noticing that the line had not moved one bit in ten minutes I walked out (while the worker was conferencing with some customers about their DMV problems) Also, I noticed a woman making a big fuss, quite angry because this DMV had bungled her paperwork and was now costing her a lot of time and money. Next week, I'm going to the Santa Ana DMV, where he line is long, but moves very fast. COMMON SENSE PLEASE.
