Because I could feel the front wooden rail through the upholstery of every single one of the 5 (Lowe style ) chairs that I purchased (within two months of bringing them home), I complained and was offered $90/chair. When I bought them several years ago, the regular price was $150 each. I would have accepted an exchange, but With $90 I could only buy 2 1/2 chairs. What a ripoff. Not all of C&B's merchandise is of a poor quality. My dining table is from C&B, and it has stood up pretty well.This particular C& B is not at fault, but since it is a chain, I would think their policies are the same.
