Paramount Tennis
333 E 17th Pl, Costa Mesa, CA 92627
Paramount Tennis was established by Swedish immigrant Runar Ohls in 1936 as Paramount Sports. The original location was on Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles, across the street from MGM studios. William J. Hodges purchased the store in 1968, which had moved to what is now North Hollywood. In 1972, the current Costa Mesa location was created, followed by the closing of the L.A. site in 1981. In 1998, Vahan Simidian became the sole owner of the store and began a thorough renovation of all aspects of the business. Kendall began his tenure at Paramount in 1986 as the stringer, following an eight year stint with Yonex, where he rose from shipping/receiving to Vice-President of Marketing and Promotion. Currently, he is in his 34th year of service to the tennis industry. The focus of Paramount Tennis is simple: to provide the best selection of merchandise and expertise that allows players to maximize their tennis experience.
