Ruby's Diner
3333 Bear St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
Ruby s Diner was established in 1980, after junior-high buddies Doug Cavanaugh and Ralph Kosmides renovated a dilapidated building on the end of Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, Calif. The 1940s-style restaurant, which was located in a former bait shop, became an immediate hit, taking in $600,000 in the first year. In the second year, sales exceeded $1 million. Named after Cavanaugh s mother, Ruby s continued to grow. The Ruby Restaurant Group opened 27 Ruby s Diners in Southern California, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Jersey and Missouri in the 1990s. It also has locations in Arizona, Oregon, Minnesota, Idaho and Washington. The Costa Mesa restaurant is just one of many Ruby's Diners in California.

Provided by YP.comSat, 3-8-14 8:10pm Just ordered two Ruby Burgers with cheese to go. Got home to eat them and no cheese, dry burger, one thin piece of tasteless tomato. Overall dry and tasteless... Had Sweet potato fries (good), and shake (good) all for $24!
2 burgers, one order of fries, one small looking shake for $24!! Wow. No wonder there wasn't a line to get in, like there used to be. Sad.
