I would recommend Norwegian Mutual Insurance to NO ONE!
In our experience, we have had nothing but problems with them. We had a complete loss, due to a house fire last December... they have drug out returning phone calls, working on the claims paperwork, and arguing about 'ages of items' the agents have been rude, argumentative, and unhelpful.

I think North Star is impossible to deal with. I recently was late with a payment because I never got a statement. They told my agent "we sent it" I had received the policy's in late April and their "threatening to cancel" letter on May 19 and nothing in between. So, where did the statement go?? They had no idea whether the statement went out or not since "the computer sent it". If it ever. Happens again,I will cancel all of my policies !!

One of their clients tire blew in front of my vehicle and the debris hit my vehicle. We filed a claim in November and in early December was told was not covered because they had investigated and determined their client was negligent. I asked to see how they made this determination. After multiple e-mails were sent they sent me paperwork in January. I determined the paperwork was fraudulent and e-mailed the company again asking for paperwork showing their client was not negligent. They e-mailed back stating that was not their issue and the claim was still denied. I am scared for any driver that gets hit by someone who is insured by this insurance company. I could not recommend this company to anyone because of the lack of ethics I have dealt with trying to settle a claim.

This home insurance is super-cheap for what you get. No other insurance agency can come close, from what I've inquired. They are consistent with inspection times, updating, requirements, and fulfilling claims. I can't ask for more!
