Imagine the horror of seeing your beloved animal get hit by a car on the local news. That nightmare became our reality. Sadly, on October 25, 2018, our horse was on the road even though she wasn't a problem animal and we hadn't been made aware that she'd escaped twice the day before behind a different mare who'd escaped 5+ times.

16 hours after our 9-year-old mare was hit by the car, we received the worst call we've ever had. So, no matter what happens to your horse, be aware that the local government will uphold the liability release statement in the Boarding Agreement that Triple M Stable, LLC uses. They can hit your horse with a car themselves and not be liable for any damages.

When the vet showed up the day after the accident, the owner insisted our mare was fine. I had to put my foot down and insist that she was not "fine." It turned out that she had over an inch of her jawbone protruding through her gumline into her mouth. As you can imagine, that wound was stinking and full of forage after the mare was left unattended in the pasture for 16 hours after her car accident. The initial prognosis was euthanasia, but, miraculously, the Iowa State vets were able to provide life-saving surgery. Ultimately, it cost us $4200 in vet bills to keep her alive after a follow-up surgery to remove infection.

Additionally our muscular 14-year-old AQHA gelding left Triple M after only 6 months in their care a skeleton.While he was there, we (the owners) tried feeding him extra grain and treating him for parasites, but it ended up being the quality of the feed provided by the stable. After 4 months of care provided by my in-laws, he's almost up to his original size. The feed is poor quality, and, because they can hide behind the liability waiver in the Boarding Agreement, the owner won't bother feeding your horse more or even admit that the animal doesn't look "fine."

I wish I could give it no stars.
I boarded at Triple M for three months. In that time, my horse lost an excessive amount of weight. He was being under fed. I also made arrangements with the owners to grain my horse which they failed to do. The bag of grain was completely full after they said that they were graining him for 2 weeks.
The training there is also a nightmare. I paid $300 for 30 days of training on my horse. They only trained about 20 days and only did it for maybe a half hour. When it was all said and done, my horse was no better than he was before and he had cuts all up and down his neck. The trainer has little patience when with challenges. The trainer's methods just set horses up for failure.
After seeing the way the horses were treated, I considered on multiple occasions reporting them.
I would never even consider recommending Triple M to anyone!! It was a nightmare! I couldn't get my horse out of there fast enough!

I recently did a tour of the updated facility with the new management staff. I am impressed and moving my two horses there this month!

We got kicked out because the lady was jealous of my mom cause she talked to her husband every once in awhile. And because I got hurt by one of their horses they were going to sell to my mom so she changed her mind and didnt want the horse because she didnt want to jeprodize my safety, and they got all butt hurt. Ridiculous!!! We were nothing but nice my mom cleaned our mess up everytime we were done hair a little bit of grain everything! We left nothing lying around and this was how we were treated,

The people, at Triple M Stables, as well as their facility, are totally amazing. Having found ourselves broke down and in the middle of bad weather, these folks came to our rescue. They provided our horses shelter for the night and actually came to pick the horses up and gave us a ride to the local motel.I can't begin to tell you how appreciative and surprised we were to have been "taken care of", in this manner. What started out as a nightmare, soon turned not quite so bad after calling Triple M!They have an extremely clean and organized barn, with all the amenities for horses, as well as the human comforts. I would highly recommend this barn and their staff to anyone with any horse needs. Thank you Triple M!!!

Great boarding facility. They take very good care of my "kids", (our horses). I consider myself very picky when selecting a boarding stables. Triple M is a very clean and neat facility, stalls well built and maintained, wash rack with heat lamps, heated lounge area with small kitchen and a 3/4 bath, new locker room and tack room under construction, large lighted indoor riding arena, and riding trials nearby. Would highly recommend this boarding facility.
