This place is a joke! I went for the first time and had a great experience. So I decide to bring my mom this time but when they showed up 11 minutes late I should have known things was going downhill. After getting in the pedicure chair they told us there card machine was down. So I told them that we can pay with a check because neither of us carry cash. So the owner told us we can get out the pedicure chair (mind you we was already soaking our feet) to go to the atm machine a few stores down. Hahaha not going to happen until my feet was done. So while I was getting them finish I notice a white woman paying with a check then look to my right and seen a sign that said "Check or Cash" after tell her I will not be going to the atm I will be paying with a check she insisted I need to go get the money which was not happen. She finally agreed to take my check but she stalled and would not finished our nails until she got her card machine back working meanwhile I watch 2 more white women paying with checks. So I started writing out my check to pay she would not tell me who to write it out for. After 30 minutes she finally got her card machine working and tell me she don't want my check she want my debit card. So to the owners of this establishment I will let all my family and friends know not to come to your shop because apparently my hard working money from 2 jobs is not equal to the white women that does business with you. I never felt so low... So I will take my checkbooks back to Modern Nails where they're appreciate. I have had a checking account since I was 15 years old and NEVER had a check returned and i thank God over the years I have been blessed with not 1, not 2, but 3 checking accts so remember don't judge a book by it's cover you never know what blessing you may pass up by profiling someone.
