Cowden-Herrick School District comprises Herrick Grade School, Cowden Grade School and Cowden High School. The district enrolls more than 450 students in grades kindergarten through 12. Located in Cowden, Ill., its curriculum includes English, Spanish, social studies, science, math, fine arts, music, computer studies and physical education. The district also offers vocational courses. It has a parent-teacher association that involves parents in various educational activities of the school. It also offers various sports activities including include basketball, baseball, track, cheerleading, volleyball and softball.
