Founded in 1832, Pressley Ridge is a nonprofit organization that provides a variety of services for families and troubled and developmentally challenged children. Its foster care services include individual residential treatment and family-based shelter and respite care programs. The organization additionally offers community-services, including intensive case management and family preservation services. Presley Ridge also provides health care services for children and families in their homes, schools and communities. The organization provides a day school and wilderness programs for children and youths with behavioral problems. Its School for Deaf is an educational program that offers academic services for youths with hearing impairment in grades 1 through 12. Pressley Ridge maintains a location in Crab Orchard, W.Va.
