Rotary Jail Museum
225 N Washington St, Crawfordsville, IN 47933
Built in 1881 - the rotary jail of Crawfordsville is the first of it's kind. Eighteen rotary jails were built, but being one of only three that have been preserved, this is also the only rotary jail left in existence that still turns. This facility served as the Montgomery county sheriff's residence, and the county jail for 91 years.Built in 1881 - the rotary jail of Crawfordsville is the first of it's kind.
