NEVER AGAIN WOULD I USE THIS COMPANY!!!! We just had our house appraisal done by this company and we are in a relatively new subdivision 3 to 10 years old. They sent out a kid named Shane to estimate our house. First off showed up an hour late, no big deal but does not do his homework on houses in this area. On my cul de sac alone the lowest house was purchased at $485,000 4 years ago and the highest at $790,000. My 5 direct beighbors both sides, and across the street purchased same time as me, same square foot all mid $550's to $790,000. They came back to me at $475,000. 2 other times this year 2 separate companies appraisal came in @ $550,000 plus. When the appraiser was at my house he said himself comps are around mid $550 to $600k. They low balled me and when I called over to discuss with Bruce even though I gave him all the houses next to me his exact answer was "because you built it for less we cant give you more" he agreed everything else was the same, so because im a builder and got it done fore less money then other builders He is going off that. SO BY HIS OWN ADMISSION he is really not going off what house is worth. This is a low balling company to cover it own butt. Even when proven wrong they still dont do right thing.
