Me and my wife went to this zoo and had a great experience. The encounters with the animals is a great experience as well. Yes the zoo is small but the plans Rick said that he has for the place sound amazing. Please support this zoo and help it grow. Me and my wife will definitely make plans to go back. And see all the improvement and other animals that are still to come.

My family and I were staying in Destin and lucked into finding this wonderful wildlife park! The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the animals. There was a whole group of students there volunteering to help build new enclosures and other great projects. You can just tell that these animals are HAPPY to be there and be SAFE from whatever evil situations that they were in before coming here. The animals were so well fed that some didn't even want treats...except the goats, who gobble everything up

All the animals that are here have been rescued, surrendered, etc. The staff was great about sharing their back stories with us. Also, this is a non-profit organization which means they run on funds from admission prices (which was cheap) and from donations. They have an Amazon.com wishlist if anyone would like to send enrichment toys to the animals.

This refuge is a great addition to Crestview, Fl. Residents can enjoy this family adventure without having to drive 60 miles round trip to other nearest zoo. Alot of renovations have been done with many more animals. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly as well as talking about the animals and answering questions. Animals are well kept as well as the grounds. A definite educational experience and great time!
