87 year old disabled veteran near Fort Carson, CO who was scammed by Safe Home Security. A sales rep arrived St our door to tell us we would need to upgrade our current system. He even pulled up all our information on his tablet. He said we would keep our equipment but get additional ring doorbells for the same monthly price. The system worked for one month, then everything stopped working. They said we needed to change the equipment for the system to work. We declined. Then they changed our contact phone number so we don't receive false alarms. Now the local police keep arriving at our home. I believe they are triggering the alarms to force us to "upgrade" for additional costs. We now have to pay lawyer to help us get out of this scam.

This is an absolutely INCOMPETENT business! I have had an account for 7 years and not only had a technician call to tell me he couldn't show up at the last minute, after I had taken vacation to be there. Then a second time, I CALLED to confirm the install. To my surprise (not really), there was no install scheduled. To add to the insult, they actually talked me into upgrading my contract from 34.95 to 54.95 and waived me for one month. They ALSO did not inform me of my options. I was told that this was a 5 year contract. I was NOT told that this could be a 3 OR 5 year contract. Then I was billed the first month after being promised a waiver of the first month. This company does nothing but lie and generate a bill. DO NOT sign a contract with this company. I have seen absolutely no proof that they do anything except automatically bill your account. You will not receive phone calls or invoices, and you WILL be automatically renewed at the end of your contract if you do not cal

I have had many issues with this company in particular Rene Gagnon. It took me over six months to get my service moved to my new address which was in the same building. There were 3 occasions that the company was supposed to move my system to my new address and they never showed, all the while they were still charging me. At this point I was fed up and my contract was up for renewal. I specifically told Rene Gagnon that I did not want to renew my contract. He told me that was fine and that he understood my frustration. He told me to sign the paper work for the install at my new address. I did....he then informed me that I just signed a new 3 year contract. Rene Gagnon then took my information and applied monthly installments to my back account which I did not authorize.

Worst service and shadey contract, and they overcharge. If your thinking about it or just signed a contract, get out of it before the grace period. You will be thankful you did. They will ruin your credit!!

I would never have these people for my security... when they put in the alarm wire they actually spliced into the phone cord which messed up my comcast wires.. had to have them come back out. When I called after 3 years, my contract is up they all have different stories on how to cancel service.. I called 5 months ago and the person I talked to said I didn't need to do a thing. When my contract ended in January it would be month to month and I could cancel anytime.. Now that my services ends in January, I called and couldn't get the guy off my back about why I wanted to cancel..then kept pushing another alarm system on me.. then said I have to put in a 30 days in advance notice.. I hung up talked to someone else and that guy said I needed to put in a 60 day notice.. I called back to a supervisor and haven't heard anything since.. Do not deal with these people... too wishy washy

My alarm monitoring service with SHS started in 09/2013 with a very cheap price ($24.99 per month); I used my own equipment; the technician told me there is no contract but I need to sign a 3 year service agreement which turned out the agreement is a contract. My alarm system was not functioning for more than a week in 05/2014 but no one from SHS called me to find out why. I had to call twice to set up a service appointment. I called to confirm the appointment on the service day. They said yes. I waited for all day, no one showed up. The next day still no show, no call. I was outraged and switched to ADT. ADT took care of my need within 2 hours. 2 weeks after switching to ADT, still no one from SHS attempted to call me to find out what happens to my alarm system. I was wondering if they are monitoring me at all! Do you want SHS to monitor your home? Please think twice.

do not do business with this company.. they are the worst.. their employees don't stay long enough to help you out.. when the monitoring system didn't work they wanted to charge $1000 to repair it and then increase the monitoring fees to include insurance... the one employee that came to our business wanted us to fix his car for free and then he would put in a free monitoring system and tell the company that the monitoring system just started working by itself.. even with the monitoring systems not working they kept billing us every month even when the contract had expired and they would not let us out of the contract.. to me that is not a contract they provide and service and we pay for it.. but not in this case.. do not do business with this company...I gave them one star because I couldn't give them anything else

Joeysusan HawkinsMe and my husband Got safe home security Seavey years ago and 2 years ago they renewed our contract after we done told them that we did not want their service anymore so we went ahead and kept them and here it is now August and I've already went to the corporate office back in 2013 telling them that I do not want your services after my contract ends and they renewed my contract again after I wrote them a message and I still have the email to this day they refuse to call me about this matter and I don't know who to contact now does anybody have any suggestions

This company is extremely non military friendly! I made a mistake of signing a 3 year contract with them (I already owned a security system and only needed monitoring) and completely regret it. I have military orders to move and this company is trying to charge me $328 for a cancellation fee for the remaining 11 months on the contract. They say we can still use them since we will be in the US, but we cannot as we will be renting and possibly moved again in a year! Also, our system was hard wired and couldn't be removed without causing extensive damage to the house it was in. We should be focused on the move, but now I'm having to worry about dealing with this company and there terrible customer service and policies! I've moved 5 times in the military and have NEVER had this experience!

Had this company almost 2 years, I have a yellow light on all the time since 11/ 2013 called for service they claimed the battery is weak and refused to replace it unless I pay them $55.00, they refuse to honor their own paper work ( I purchased a service agreement that states "everything is included" ) no where does it state that the battery is not included as they claimed. All I know is that when the battery dies and their system stops working, I will hold the Company responsible for any break-, damage or harm to me or my family. VERY UNHAPPY, NOT A GOOD COMPANY.

A friend suggested I contact Safe Home Security to discuss instaling an alarm after a home near ours was broken into. The salesperson was little jargony at first, but he really was a great person, who I could tell was very genuine. he gave me a great price and we had the alarm installed within two weeks. I really do feel safer when my wife comes home alone at night.

It only took one home robbery to convince me. Thank god we weren't home. After that I called Safe Home to come down to secure my home. They walked around and through my home with a detailed checklist, gave me a quote on the spot . Their prices were fair and their service way above average. They spent two hours with me and calmed my wife's fears.

Talked to the owner of the company after calling to ask a question about trouble with my existing home alarm. He was helpful. They fixed two sensors in my home and then we transfered monitoring to them.
