The Caprock Community Action Association serves people in Crosby, Floyd, Dickens, Hale and Motley counties in Texas. The association offers employment attainment programs for economically disadvantaged and learning disabled youths. It manages Cap Trans, which provides rural public transportation for employment, entertainment, shopping and medical appointments. The Caprock Community Action Association also administers the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program. The association manages public and private weatherization assistance programs that serve senior citizens and families with children under the age of six. In addition, it administers an emergency shelter grant program that serves individuals and families at-risk of homelessness through eviction, foreclosure and utility termination.
