The Crossville Housing Authority provides housing opportunities to low-income families and has been operational for more than 40 years. It is a public housing authority that manages more than 330 housing units. The authority administers the Section 8 Assisted Housing Payments Program. Its Family Self-Sufficiency program includes educational and vocational training, employment and job search skills, money management, credit counseling and homeownership education. The authority has an after-school program for children between the ages of 7 and 12 to help improve grades and teach antidrug messages. It additionally involves residents into various activities, such as rock climbing, tae kwon do and weight training. It is located in Crossville, Tenn.
