Crystal Lake School District 47 enrolls approximately 9,000 students who are housed in 12 buildings consisting of nine elementary schools and three middle schools. It also operates an early childhood center that houses nearly 100 special preschool students. Its schools curricula include language arts, social studies, science, health and physical education, mathematics, music, and family and consumer science. The district provides bilingual education and reading recovery programs, as well as gifted and talented education. Its schools offer a variety of sports activities, such as cross country, volleyball, basketball and football. In addition, Crystal Lake School District 47 supports bowling, golf, jazz, chorus and yearbook clubs. Its schools feature parent-teacher organizations that support several fundraising events. The district is located in Eugene, Ore.
