I have been a regular customer of this store for 25 years. They have always stocked a good selection of beer & wine with fair prices. In the last 3 months I have noticed that the shelves are not being restocked. Employees are concerned that the company is going out of business. That would be my take also. I think it would be almost impossible to fail in this business unless the owners were taking too much money out of the business. If my thoughts are correct, I will miss Teddy’s. My fingers are crossed.

After many visit s to several Teddy s location s and unable to get the item s needed due to the empty place s on the shelves I don t think I will give them another chance or try. Was told many time s that item s were out of stock/backordered. Being that we all have the internet and after reading another review else where and the comment posted about jagermeister being out of stock and that Teddy s must not pay their bill s I researched. Interesting that the Illinois liquor control for the state post a list every Friday delinquency establishment s. Week after week Teddy s does appear and MAKES the list. This mean s that they cannot get shipment s until those bill s are paid. Fyi, Beningan s resterant is in bankrupt. Is Teddy s in the same situation I wonder? If they can t pay their liquor/wine bill s are the employee s next to not get paid? Will the so called owner s stiff the hard working employee s and try to run & hide on them. If it were me I would be heading over to the nearest big B and get my application in ASAP! Gotta feed the family. Maybe I will visit Teddy s once more to capitalize on the going out of business sale, LOL. One other thing I would like to bring up is the Teddy s web page? Really?!?! Weekly sale s link is under construction the main page was still mentioning an April 30th wine tasting and this is almost July! WTF? Looked up the so called owner s of Teddy s and it list a president I won t mention name however if you were to search it there is a result showing the name that lead s to a computer program site written for teddy s. Funny that the self taught computer man at teddy s I can only imagine is the same person that manages the web site. Wow this guy need s to go back to school it seems. The name also come s up for a sport s web site where there seems to have been an issue and it was redone to control who post what. I can understand keeping some name s out however I tried to post a very fair statement and it didn t make it. I also checked the guest book for this site and doesn t seem to be anyone who would really like to sign it or associate with this guy. Kinda like I won t with Teddy s anymore! I hate to take and destroy the Teddy s business however I won t be lied to from them! Honesty can go a long way however and I don t live a lie as most employee s and owner s are trying to do with their customer s. Cheer s & Happy Friday!

I drove 25 minutes to get to Teddy's for only one thing, a Grolsch 5L mini-keg, something I couldn't find anywhere else. Excited that they had one on the shelf I bought it and left extremely satisfied. But, when I got home I noticed the printing on the underside of it, "EXP: 15AUG2007" and today is January 2nd 2008!! Partly my fault for not checking it before I bought it.



Needless to say that is my biggest (and only) complaint about Teddy's. I suggest that if you go there you MUST check the expiration or best before date before you buy any beer.



Otherwise it's a clean store with well stocked shelves and friendly staff. I just hope that they pay a little bit more attention to providing fresher beer (or at least beer that hasn't expired 5 months ago)
