Please send me the addresses to all the perfect churches you go to. I would would love to visit a church where no one ever makes a mistake, never have to repent of anything and it's members instead of praying for their brothers and sisters, just sit on the internet and throw stones. If you have never sinned, please throw the first stone. For me, I have read their apology and will be praying for them.

If, as the old hymn says, "In Christ there is no East or West" and the Bible rightly says "For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all people," on what basis can a pastor be justified in God's sight when he refuses to conduct the wedding of two people who are members in good standing of this parish, simply because a few powerful but tragically ignorant parishioners threaten to get him fired if he does? One would think a man of the cloth would have had the courage of his convictions and embraced such a showdown confident that God's justice wil prevail, that the majority of his parishioners will back him up, and that such dissenters as cannot bear to pretend to be Christians in this matter will go somewhere else, preferably a parish specializing in handling poisonous snakes. Meanwhile, to paraphrase Our Lord, this is a house divided, and until it figures out whether it wants to walk the walk or just be among those who despite crying "Lord, Lord!" are denied entry into heaven, I cannot recommend it as a condign place for God's worship.
