Provided by YPmobileMy baby has had food issues since she was about 6 weeks old. She vomits a lot after feeding. We were given acid reflux medicine to give her. Didn't help at all. Then told it might be a dairy protein allergy and to put her exclusively on soy formula. We never not told to do this slowly, but to do it right away; we were also not told of possible side effects. Daughter got HORRIBLY constipated to the point she'd scream in pain when trying to pass a bowel movement. That's when the contradictions started. We were told to take her to a chiropractor and to yet again switch her formula (only this time back to the original formula that makes her vomit), and mineral oil in the bottles only until the stools become loose again. Now its "you need to give the mineral oil consistently everyday to see results (but you said to stop when the stools loosened otherwise risk diarrhea, so which is it), we were told that we needed to switch her formula so quickly to soy because she was having such a bad reaction to the milk based formula to be told in the next sentence that the reaction wasn't bad enough to actually confirm the allergy, nor bad enough to be told to put her right back on the old milk based formula (so it was bad enough to switch immediately, but not bad enough to be kept off the formula that caused the original...again, which is it?) My daughter is 3 months old. She should NOT have to suffer and constantly being forced to make such drastic changes just because the medical staff can't stop contradicting themselves. The nurse is great...the doctors and np (who is the worst by far) are not so great. Look for other places to take your children if you want actual help.
