My first apartment with my wife was in Orchard Mews, skeptical at first because of its "income based" nature I went to see our prospective apartment and the surroundings and was literally nearly floored by it. Everyone seemed friendly and outgoing, the apartment itself was set up perfectly for a pregnant newly wed couple like ourselves, a nice sized master bedroom and comfy sized starter room for a newborn, one that could work through probably the first five years or even longer of their life. The floors had rather nice carpet for an "income based" place, a common misconception for someone closed minded about this kind of thing. I highly recommend anyone starting a small family (one child maybe two) or that is in a tight money situation check into this place. The waiting list is present, but totally worth it, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
