This place is a big scam. Took an appointment for wax removal.
I was seen by a med asst and she asked me questions about the allergies which I never asked for. Finally they charged me for 2 separate codes:
Doctor's visit
Surgery code for wax removal

Never visiting this place again and would suggest everyone to avoid this place if possible.

Don't usually have the time to give reviews (unless the product/service is horrific enough to warrant warning others) but my own recent visits and procedures have been so unusually pleasant and complication-free, I thought to add those to the mix here.

To say I'd suffered from chronic sinusitus for many years really doesn't do justice to my situation.

Congenital defects with the eustation tubes and related structures preventing proper airflow and circulation, chronic inner ear infections since age 4 resulting in perforated eardrums and then developing seasonal/environmental allergies at around age 7 (treatments for that were limited, if even available in 1971), later a broken nose, chronic sinusitus, etc., etc., resulted in sinus cavities and adjacent drainage/airflow structures that were completely blocked, unable to drain, air unable to circulate...

Over the years, the amalagm of moulde, fluids and bacterial infection grew to the point where it was going to eventually kill me via septic shock or evolve into a new life form (when your dogs growl and bare their fangs at the tissue you just wiped your nose with, you gotta know somethings not right).

Just to say I've had a LOT of experience over the years having a number of surgeries, procedures, office visits, followups with a variety of doctors and offices and I have to say, the latest procedure I had done with Dr. Alvarez, the followups, etc., with his current staff at the Cumming location has been by far the smoothest I can remember and the only one of many, over the years, that have given me a 100% improvement.

I don't recall every having to wait before going to the exam room, the front office staff have always been courteous from my own experience...Dr. Alvarez's PA, Hiral, is exceptionally good - the best I've ever had experience with, hands-down.

In disbelief

I was referred to Dr. Alvarez for a follow-up after an unexpected visit to the hospital for tonisilitis.

I made my appointment 2 weeks in advance. Upon arriving, I waited in the hallway with the other SIX patients who had a 1:00 appointment to see Dr Alvarez. We were greeted in his waiting room by a "frosted/closed reception window"...which was only opened to pass papers through and abruptly be spoken to.

After seeing the doctor at 2:15 for my 1:00 appointment, he was very pleasant. My visit was 5 minutes long, my throat was clear & he prescribed Flonase for spring allergies.

I recently received my bill for $273!!!!! My insurance is such that I will be responsible for paying the bill. I have a call into the Billing department & cannot wait to see how they subtantiate a rate of $3200 per hour...which I will promptly refuse to pay should they pursue that rate.
