Advance GTC Painting owner James Yang is the nicest and best professional licensed and RRP certified contractor that I have ever hired. In October 2012, I contracted with him for exterior painting of two 50 year old apartment buildings and a carport in Castro Valley. I am awed by his expertise in painting and colors, skill in dealing with different paint surfaces, detail or repair and pride in workmanship. Advance GTC Painting gave me a detailed and reasonably priced bid proposal, finished the project on time in spite of weather and accommodating tenants' schedules and stayed on budget. Since I am located 400 miles away from the property, James kept in contact with me through emails, text messages and phone calls.

I was impressed by the results of James' and his team's work ethic. I will continue to use Advance GTC Painting for future painting projects.

I hired James from Advance Painting to paint my house. Overall, the job was completed faster than what I have expected. James suggested a high quality paint at a medium price range), showed up on time, and completed the job before the end of the day. He made sure to remove the railings on the stairs and to cover up the carpeting to avoid any painting accidents. There appeared to be a few darker spots on the walls which show through the paint so I told James about it, and he gladly came over again and painted once more.



I'm truly satisfied with his work. Received the best customer's satisfaction. I would definitely recommend James from Advance Painting. Had a great experience working with him.

We got James' telephone number from the Mercury news alongwith three others. His estimate was the most reasonable. In addition, when he visited us to give us the esimate, he impressed us by his attention to detailed . He pointed out the areas which had not been painted properly the last time and we agreed with his observation. He mentioned exactly what was needed before we even mentioned. After talking to him, we decided to expact the scope of work and we are glad that we did. Some areas had to be done twice or three times; he figured it out himself mostly and worked for perfection. He went beyond the scope of the define work at times - even noticed some floor tiles that needed to be replaced he did it on his own although it was not his job. He is extremely hardworking and a very pleasant person to work with.

I just bought a new home that needed a new paint job on the inside. After getting 4 or 5 bids I went with Advance Painting. It was such a good decision. They were so easy to work with and did an exceptional job. The walls were in pretty bad shape but they filled all of the holes and cracks before painting and now it looks like a brand new house! I have never been so happy with a contractor before. You will not be sorry if you go with Advance Painting!

He was able to finish EVERYTHING in just a week and i was in awe at the result.( I was two weeks behind my schedule so i was very frustrated.) He even suggested what materials and colors would fit better- thanks to you James!

We hired James to paint our new house. It was a big project (whole interior painting + popcorn ceiling removal). He managed to finish in 4 days! He finished the job excellently. He did a lot of detailed work, including redo the texture on the uneven surfaces. Very good painter!
