Decided to try out this new restaurant today. Very pleased with atmosphere inside as well as value.



We started with fresh fruit smoothies ($4.99): Mango and Popo Tea. They taste like they are made with coconut milk and both contained little rectangular bits of colorful gummy/gelatin in the bottom. We followed this with 2 lunch specials (entrée, fried or white rice, plus soup [wonton, egg drop, hot and sour] or egg roll or crab Rangoon). We went with safe standbys for this visit: Sweet and Sour Chicken ($7.50) and Pepper Steak ($7.75).



What most impressed us was the light subtle complexities in the flavors (the sauce with the beef was amazing) and how they worked to complement one another. This was a step up from what one would expect, and usually get, from food presented at this price point. The ingredients were fresh and none of the fried items were greasy.



Net result is we will definitely be returning and trying more ambitious offerings on the menu, including chef specials.
