I'm new to this area and one of the problems I was worried about having was finding a stylist that can handle me and my hair, and let me tell you I found a GREAT hairstylist. Sandy the owner is seriously one of the funniest and most caring people you will ever meet and not only that she really know her colors. I told her exactly what I wanted and she made it perfect and not only that she gave me a wonderful haircut. Mike cut my younger daughter and sons hair and they loved him. I was worried since this was my sons first haircut that he would scared but Mike made them feel at home and gave him a great haircut. My experience at this salon was wonderful and Mike and Sandy are two great people who run a beautiful salon. I would highly recommend this salon to anybody who's having trouble looking for a hairstylist because you will find one there!!

I tried Sandys Hair Studio four times. I had a couple appointments with Sandy and two with her husband ( the owner Mike). They are both very nice people but I have a hard time understanding their accent. Communicating was hard for me. Sandy is always in a hurry and I felt rushed. I tried telling her what I wanted but never quite got the cut or color I wanted even though I had pictures and the formula for my color written down. I felt as though she was not listening or understanding me. Mike did my hair twice. Both times disaster. The last time I went Mike did my hair and I have to say it was the worst style I have ever had. He asked me 3 times if my hair had ever been that frizzy. No, my hair is very straight. It hardly does anything even with this Houston Humidity! When I left Sandys my hair was horribly frizzy. I have no idea what was put in it or what he did but I was embarrassed because he kept asking loudly why my hair was so frizzy and I looked terrible. It was hard, crunchy and I still am working to get it to look somewhat decent. I believe in giving people chances but I won't be back there. I have NEVER had my hair look that bad. I hate to write bad reviews but this was a disaster. I'd put my picture on here but I am too embarrassed. I kept looking around while Mike was doing my hair. I thought " this man can't even have a license" when I saw he did I could not get over the way he was chewing his gum, he was jittery because he was trying to quit smoking. He accidentally spit on me once because of his gum. I wanted to cry when I left. A terrible experience

It was time for a clean up and was not looking forward to driving all the way to The Woodlands - my usual place - for haircut. Checked with Sandy's in my neighborhood and got appt. same day with Alba. After I showed her the picture of the look I was going for, she spent time with me discussing it and the cut I currently have. In one hour I had been shampooed, conditioned, cut and blow dried. I got a great haircut. And I already have my next appt. set. Thanks Alba!
