We rented karts and had a great time. They really do have the fastest go karts that you can rent, no governor on the engines so the top speed was at least 60mph! These are not the usual heavy bumper car type go karts that you usually run, they are the real deal, just like the ones that are raced. The track is huge and wide and the staff was very friendly and informative. I qualified to run a faster kart which just blew me away!

As a road racer, occasional Supermoto racer, and off road racer, I love this place for a bit of training, and even more for taking friends and family out to have a picnic, and share the fun of riding. I also use it to get people more familiar with riding when they are getting ready to earn their motorcycle endorsements. Inexpensive and fun. (Costs WAAAAY less than the 500 or so I spend on a roadracing weekend).

They aren't exactly the most aesthetically pleasing gokart track in the area, but the karts are quick, and they've got a step up on some of the other outdoor tracks in the area with lap timing. In fact, they have a HUD on the steering wheel that displays the lap times as you drive, a feature other karting facilities would do well to adopt.It's far outside of Denver, but the track offers some real speed, and it's a challenging while fast course. Another advantage they have over other kart tracks is they've got multiple kinds of karts to rent, each progressively faster than the last, all the way up to shifter karts.It's definitely a good thrill, and while it's a little outside of town, if you're up for a challenge and feel the need for speed it's definitely a great place to go.

It is true, they are the fastest go-karts you can drive. Nice long track. Been to Action karting too and their karts are not fast. The karts at IMI are faster and the track is way better. There is a motocross track on the same property you can ride if you have a bike or ATV. We had a great time. Go karts are more fun than any amusement park ride and you can race together. What a blast!!I don't think the other review from the Denverguy is fair. It looks like he is the competition and trying to slam IMI when they clearly have a better facility, track, and go-karts than Action Karting. They should not let competitors make reviews like that. My opinion.

IMI should be avoided at all costs, at least for rentals. Their karts are poorly maintained and in some cases unsafe. The few driving suits are greasy with holes and burns, the helmets look and smell like they have never been properly cleaned, the neck bolsters are downright filthy and the driving gloves are greasy. The staff offers no assistance whatsoever in helping select or put on the gear. Overall, IMI ofers an extremely unprofessional experience for renters.I love supporting small, local businesses. However, these folks have no concern other than their bottom line. If you actually go out there, listen to your instincts when you see the interior junkyard they call their "office". It speaks volumes about how they run their business.For a much better experience, try Action Karting at Bandimere. They are a professional business and offer a large selection of clean, good condition driving apparel. I am not associated with either business, just want to share my esperience.
