Terrible. They replaced an alternator and didn't bother to clean the corrosion or replace the cracked terminal. I had to do that myself. 3 months later the alternator fails and they refused to replace it or refund my money. They even said you can't test an alternator to verify its bad... Con artists that know very little about cars.

Broken down in the mountains 600 miles from home.
Our family came to Dahlonega, GA for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately our 130,000 mile van’s transmission started grinding and slipping badly after just one trip up the mountain to the house we had rented. I knew it wouldn’t make it a second time.
The landlord recommended Mullinex Auto and Marine. I’m a gear head so I have a good idea what it takes/costs to do most repairs (I do most myself) and I was considering all options from leaving the car for repair to somehow getting it home – over 600 miles away – along with four people and two dogs. As I discussed all of the options with Craig Mullinex he shared honest, unbiased knowledge of each, never trying to sell me on having him do the repair.
It was obvious the best and least expensive choice was to let Craig and his team install a rebuilt transmission from a top reputation national rebuilder that included a three-year 100,000 mile nationwide transferrable warranty. I returned to Dahlonega a week later and my van was perfectly repaired, and road tested. Now with over 4,000 miles on it, the transmission shifts smoothly and has full power transfer. Quite frankly, the van drives better than when it was new!
Huge thanks to Mullinex Auto and Marine for a fantastic repair experience and even more so for treating strangers like friends!

Mullinax told me an engine mount on my minivan was cracked which would explain for a vibration on my front end. After charging me $700 for that and other work they said I needed, they showed me a cracked engine mount. However, the work did NOT eliminate the vibration. Then, they told me I probably had another engine mount cracked. I did not believe them. I took my minivan to the dealership and they charged me $150 to replace a front wheel bearing. That took care of the vibration. Mullinax scammed me.

Trustworthy, honest and reasonably priced, quality work. These are the reasons why many of my neighbors and myself have used Mullinax as our auto repair service over the years.

I had a great experience with the mechanics at Mullinax Auto and Marine. I was an hour away from home when I had car problems in Dahlonega. The mechanics came to fix my car quickly so that I could get back home. They were very knowledgeable about what they were doing and had me going in no time. I had called two other shops before them and I told them what was going on, but Mullinax Auto and Marine were the only ones who knew what my problem was as soon as I described the situation to them. They came to my rescue so that I didn't have to be stranded anymore. They were very honest and friendly. I would highly recommend them.

I don't know why everyone is writing bad reviews on this shop. I was told about this shop by the guy who pushed my car off the road when it died. It only took a few days for the repair and the price was very reasonable. The owner was very nice and explained to me exactly what was going on with my car. I would go to them again and would recommend them to friends.
