The Raindrop Chapter, was organized in 1978 by a group of dedicated painters. Our chapter meets at the Union Hall in Tualatin on the first Saturday every-other-month starting in February. Decorative painting is a diverse art form utilizing a variety of techniques and media to decorate functional and non-functional surfaces. Tole painting is the general term historically used to describe decorative painting on tin surfaces, but today we paint on any surface including wood, glass, fabric, canvas and tin. We urge anyone who is interested in decorative painting to join us in developing their talents. We offer a variety of classes and seminars in many different mediums through out the year and teach painting techniques from novice to expert.
