Provided by YP.comVery poor service. I called ahead to see if they could work on a Veloodyne Sub. They said they had experience working on Velodyne subs and felt confident they could fix a hum. When I got there, they tried to get me to pay more for faster service, otherwise it would be 2 - 3 weeks. Did not pay extra. After a month, I had to call them. All they could tell me was they could not find the problem and they had called Velodyne but could not get a schematic from them. They could send it to Velodyne for repair, for an additional fee. I had already called Velodyne before I brought it to them, already knew their repair cost, and that they have never released schematics! Clearly Audio Electronics did not have the experience with Velodyne, or they just wanted to see if they could get lucky with an easy fix. Either way, they had very poor service by not calling me. Tried to up-sell me twice, first with premium service, then by offering to ship it to Velodyne for me for an additional charge. In the end they essentially charged me $43 to call Velodyne. No apology for not calling me for a month. STAY AWAY. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY.

Provided by YP.comThey used to be the best in the area, but the quality of service that these guys provide has really gone down the tubes. I had heard some rumors around town, but didn’t believe it until I saw it for myself. It now takes several attempts before your gear is fixed correctly, and the mean time it will get so hammered that it looks like it just came off of a world tour. Long story short, if you don’t mind returning your gear several times to get it fixed, and want it beat to crap in the mean time, then this is the place for you!

Provided by YP.comI am definitely not impressed with how they care for your gear when it is in their possession. I have a vintage Tascam 320B that used to be in pretty good shape cosmetically, until it took three trips to Audio Electronics get it completely repaired. Each time I brought it home, I noticed that it had more cosmetic damage. It now has three new dings on the end boards, and a new cut on the vinyl wrist rest.
Among other things, the board needed some new meter lamps. It was recommended to me to have all of the lamps replaced to insure that they would match in intensity. When I powered it up after bringing it home the first time, it was obvious that they were all over the place in brightness. In the mean time I had noticed that there was no output on the headphone jack. When I returned the board to have them fix the lights correctly, I asked them to address that issue as well. After I brought it home the second time, the lights were of equal brightness, but the headphone jack still had no output, so it had to go back for a third time.
I actually called and complained about the way in which my gear was being treated after the second trip, they assured me that they would be more careful, but apparently they weren’t. Long story short, if you have a piece of road gear that you need to have repaired, they will do a good enough job, but if you have a piece of gear that you are trying to restore or otherwise want to be treated carefully, go somewhere else!

Provided by YP.comAbsolute terrible experience. Avoid this place if you are trying to service an Onkyo. I brough in my Onkyo on Oct 1st for warranty repair. They said they could fix it and asked if I wanted to pay for expedited service. This means for $27 bucks, they'll take a look at your unit within 3 days instead of 3-4 weeks due to a long backlog of work they have to do. So I paid it. I called them after a week to see what they had found. They replied they had to wait for a part. I said it was fine and to let me know when they would be done. I waited another 2 weeks...called them again. Said they had to order another part and would call me. Another 2-3 weeks went by with no call yet again. So I called them back. Said they replaced the second part and found a 3rd part not working. Had to wait for another part from Onkyo. Long story short...Recieved my replacement unit from Onkyo mfg in Jan 2010!! Terrible technical service, lousy service and bad place all around.... avoid!
