I took a 1960 model Harmony electric to their repair shop after 6 mo. Of waiting I went and gOther it back no repairs made not even and attempt they told me it would take a while but 6 mo.i could have built a guitar myself really disappointing experience. They were afraid of it.little Ds in Denton repaired it in two weeks.

Bryant did a great job with my G&L recently, the fret dress and set-up was 1st rate, allthough I agree with above comment, it did take almost 3 months.

I left a Martin D-18 with Charley's for a factory authorized neck reset - promised 4 - 6 week turn. Picked it up 7 and a half months later. I originally took these in because of the shop's service reputation. Promise dates have zero value, status calls as a gentle prod to action are useless. Work began when I called the Martin factory about delays, etc.



The reset seemed to be ok but the finishing work was terrible. Above the 14th fret, fingerboard was excessively planed, reset frets uneven vertically, horizontal protrusions from fingerboard. Set up terrible - action high (3-5 mm at 12th fret), strings not centered over fingerboard, nice matte finish on the body had been polished to high gloss around the neck - ugly two tone finish. No apparent attempt was made to match/repair finish.



I was so dissatisfied with the work I sent the instrument to Nazareth for factory evaluation of Bryant's repairs in August 2012. Martin will be removing the neck, replacing the rosewood fingerboard, replacing the pickguard, resetting the bridge, installing a new nut and saddle, and refinishing the entire guitar stating the work done at Charley's was not up to Martin's standards.
