I will start by stating that the doctor did a phenomenal job on my prosthetic but the woman at the front desk ruined this experience for me. After I had my prosthetic made and put in, it was time to pay. I couldn't pay the $3000.00 in full so I requested a payment plan. I paid them $1500 then and requested a payment plan for the rest. I would think $500 a month would be reasonable but nope, not to her. They have a policy to where they don't offer payment plans. So, I told the lady at the front desk that I couldn't pay the entire balance and her response was "Well, then we will just have to take your prosthetic out". Not only is this incredibly insensitive but it also violates the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practice Act). It states that you cannot use coercive language in an effort to collect a debt. She did just that. The company also violates the FDCPA by not allowing patients to make payments. The FDCPA states that an organization must provide reasonable means to pay a debt owed. They don't do that either. The only reason I haven't filed a case with the FDCPA is because the doctor did a great job and shouldn't be punished for a rouge employee. So, while I am grateful for the work the doctors have done for me, I left that office with no desire to ever go back.
