Founded in 1959, E. L. DeGolyer Elementary School provides a variety of educational and recreational programs for students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s curriculum includes English, science, math, social studies and language arts. It features a library, cafeteria, playground and classrooms, as well as the DeGolyer Gallery of Art. E. L. DeGolyer Elementary School s parent-teacher association sponsors several recreational programs, fundraising events and counseling sessions. In addition, the school provides special education programs for students with physical disabilities and special needs. Its library houses a collection of fairy tales, fiction and nonfiction books, storybooks, picture dictionaries and puzzles.
