The Farmers Branch Fire Department is responsible for fire suppression, rescue operations, emergency management, code enforcement, and building and site plan reviews. It operates fire prevention, administration and fire operations divisions. The department is comprised of more than 80 sworn officers, firefighters and paramedics. The Farmers Branch Fire Department conducts various elementary school and workplace programs, station tours and special request classes. It also supports blood pressure checks and home fire safety inspections. The department maintains more than two fire stations that utilize several engines, trucks, ambulances, utility vans and battalions.
