I should have read the reviews too. I just took my car for inspection today, twice. First time I had the wrong insurance cert, but the kid did the road test before telling that. So I run home get the correct cert. I come back and he does another road test. Then performs the computer inspections. I then get told I'm all set and they take my credit card and charge me. Then I'm told the car didn't pass the parking break test. This kid had TWO opportunities to tell me my brake would not hold at 1000 rpms so there was no reason to do the rest of the test. Instead, I made a trip home and came back to get ripped off by these guys. When I asked for a refund, I was told to call DPS.

If this is the kind of people you want to trust with your car service, be my guest. They are crooks. I was only there because Vavoline's computers were down due to the storm. My mistake. Don't get ripped off too!!

Responding to the ranting of JD-8. The DPS tells us to do a complete inspection when the vehicle comes in so that the customer doesn't go get tires replaced and then come back and we find something else, then get that repaired and come back and then we find something else. Then he would be ranting about the fact that we didn't do our job thouroughly enough and that he had to make several trips. As far as making him wait "forever". How fair would it be for us to put him in the front of the line when we had people that were already in line for that service and had been waiting. JD-8 is upset because he needed tires and a State Inspection and he was made to follow the rules that have been outlined by the DPS. I would prefer that we did not have to do his inspection twice and only charge him for the one service. It ties up my machine, my employee and costs me for 2 long distance phone calls every time I have to go through the procedure, but those are the rules. Sorry!!

Worst experience for State Inspections. Usually inspectors will tell you BEFORE they take your money that your car will fail inspection for obvious reasons like bald tires. Not these guys ! They want your money bad. Once it fails inspection and they have taken your money, they are supposed to reinspect it free for the next 15 days. But when you go back, since they have already taken your money, they put you at the bottom of the list and make you wait forever. If you try to talk to the manager, he is rude, overbearing and lies by telling you that "you have to wait in line" and "that is a DPS rule.". Yeah, good luck here (especially with the manager) !
