I don’t find this salon wort...

I don’t find this salon worth the money it charges for the level of professionalism and service it provides.

**BACKGROUND**

I made an appointment to have my hair coloured. When I arrived it was very busy and the consultation was very short. I have very long hair with many layers and I expressed wanting to have highlights to make the look more “summery”. The stylist put in the highlights without regard to how I part my hair, or the way my hair was cut. The result? When I style my hair naturally-- I have only highlights on one side of my head and it looks like I have extensions in when I don't (the top layers are coloured, but the bottom ones are natural).

After much deliberation-- (Who wants to deal with the awkward, "I hate my hair" conversation!?) I went into the salon and wanted to let them see what could be done. I had already spent 200.00 the previous week... and it was almost for a waste because I didn't want to wear my hair anyway but in a high pony tail to conceal the sharp contrast! The appointment was made 1 week later and I was assured that because this was a fix -- I wouldn't need to pay.

However, that wasn't the case when I came in.

I came in-- and went through the explanation once again-- this time with a larger audience (nothing makes you feel like a huge complainer like having an audience to hear why you aren't satisfied). It was discussed because I had only gotten a partial, the solution was to do the other "half of " my head. Complete with a pricing guide that showed different sections of the head... it was discussed as if I hadn't ALREADY been in the previous week! Had this consultation occurred the previous time, there wouldn't have been any need for me to take an entire half of a day a week later; to come in and feel like a moron that would basically have to pay all over again to fix what I paid for the week before!

It was as if no one was listening to the basic issue I had, but instead they were using the pricing guide as the only sort of options to remedy the issue. "I'm sorry, this is the only free option we can provide you, " was said to me a couple of times. It made me wonder if they thought about how grossly inconvenient this was for me to rearrange my schedule + the week of dealing with the hair -- if THAT was in the pricing guide at all.

** On a side note**I would have happily paid the 240.00 it would have been the prior week had it been done correctly to 1.) Avoid the pain/inconvenience of trying to get it fixed and 2.) having hair that I really don’t like. However, that wasn’t an option given to me at that time. Instead, a week later, they were asking me to pay THEM as if they were starting all over fresh ( I'm sorry, but if I'm starting fresh... I'd rather try a salon that listens to me).

I want to go to a salon that values both my time and happiness and conducts themselves with a degree of professionalism, which unfortunately was not what I felt here.
