Provided by YP.comI recently lost a cherished loved one and had to locate a funeral home to perform a cremation in Dallas where I knew virtually no one. My loved one died on June 1st, and it took until June 29th for them to finally cremate him. Once the funeral home had his body, I called multiple times pleading with them to finalize the process with no one returning my calls.I emailed authorization to charge my credit card for the service with instructions on where to send the remains when done, and the funeral home sent the remains elsewhere while still charging my card. I have called several times since the billing with them refusing to call me back. With this being such a painful time, I urge anyone who is going through the loss of a loved one not to put themselves through additional heartache, and please look elsewhere for someone to help with your funeral needs. IT'S A SHAME THAT A BUSINESS WHOSE MAIN FOCUS SHOULD BE COMPASSION CAN BE SO HEARTLESS.

Provided by YP.comThe family bought the same casket online for $1095 that the funeral home was trying to charge $4000 for. The online casket had the nicer velvet lining also. Shop online before going to the funeral home.

I find it very difficult to comprehend that it has taken 10 months (4 days short of) and counting, and still my beloved mother's headstone is not ready. Some of the thoughts that are going through my mind in the association with Restland Funeral Home's promise to deliver a headstone and inability thereof are that it is ridiculous, preposterous, disrespectful, dishonest, and extremely disappointing.
I feel that if Restland Funeral Home is incapable of delivering a right product the first, second, or even the third time, there is a true lack of attention to detail, clients' needs, and desire to provide a quality customer service. Also, when promising and undertaking the contract to deliver a headstone with letters in any language other than English, I would expect that it would be verified with a trusted member of the community (such as Mr. Finkelstein) before submitting any plans and upon receiving the proof - before a headstone is manufactured; and absolutely once the headstone is completed.
Lastly, communication failures - such as not returning voice mails or emails in a timely fashion, does not help in keeping customers happy.

Provided by YP.comNice pictures but Restland is a scam. Once you place a loved one in their care you should prepare yourself to enter the depths of Hell. They claim to have certain dates for silk arrangements but in the last 30 months I have had arrangements missing. Their management tells me someone must have stolen them but I find this difficult to believe as the concealable vase has always been neatly turned updside down. Even the people at Rembrandt Florist (in the same parking lot as Restland offices) agree if someone steals flowers they will not take the time to properly turn the vase upside down, they just take the flowers and run. At first I had a problem with the sod not being properly watered (depending on the price you pay for a space because the more expensive areas were well watered) and I was told by management they did not provide perpetual care, even though the contract I signed specifically stated perpetual care was included. There is also a problem with fire ants covering the markers. When it was requested that something be done I was told they do not use poisonous bait because it might injure or kill the animals (the lady in particlular mentioned the dogs that hang around). That was a really appealing idea: let the fire ants take over my loved one's burial space while dogs and other animals deficate and urinate all over my loved one's remains. There letters and ads are signed "your caring friends" when in reality all they care about is getting your money up front, then the caring stops. There are also many hidden costs when one goes to make final arrangements (for example if you do not have the cash on hand and you assign the life insurance policy to them you will be told your loved one cannot be buried until they are paid. They just happen to have a loan company that will forward the funds for a small fee of TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS). When you are looking for a spot they will always try to upsell you to a higher price location even if you know your loved one would prefer a particular one. Same way when you are deciding on a casket. They take advantage of your situation, act so caring while they over inflate their prices and try to make a larger sale, then when it is all over they dump you like yesterday's garbage. But as stated earlier, it all depends on how expensive of a burial location you have chosen. Another agonizing aspect of coming to visit at Restland is to see the horrendous grave digging machinery sitting in open areas and well in view of services that are going on. That is another way they have to remind you they do what they want with no respect to surviving family members. Do you really want to see backhoes and bulldozers waiting like vultures when you are laying your loved ones to eternal rest? They want to shove their disrespect down your throat. On my last visit there were two services and the graves were covered in less than one hour. They use their Grim Reaper machinery in such a hurry to cover more people and show no respect. A line from Dante's Inferno would be appropiate: Abandon all hope ye who enter here.

Provided by YPmobileMy family has several plots here. We recently buried my dad and they did a horrible job! the service was okay only because We had military honors. No thanks to the people who work here! It has been three months and We have not heard a word from them about dads head stone. Our hearts are broken and these are happy to take our money and a lot of it, but have little regard for the families and their loved ones.
