Having a child with behavioral issues presents certain issues when looking for a child care program. The entire staff at the Shepherd School have been a huge blessing to my family and most especially my daughter. Her history included abandonment issues, violent outbursts and lack of respect for any authority. Although the journey has not been completed the loving, nurturing, teaching and Christ centered behavior model are making a great impact on my daughter. We appreciate all the extra time and energy invested in making our daughter the child we know she can become. I know of no other place I would entrust my child so completely. Elizabeth and her staff are an example to the community in 'living the life' for which we all strive.

I love this school. My child started daycare at 2 years old. I looked at a few daycares and was a little freaked at what I saw and was hearing like "if you want to pick your child up early call first". This school has a owner who loves children. This school is real and honest and has nothing to hide. He loves to go, at dropoff he just runs right in and doesn't look back, no crying from him or me. My biggest complaint is a dirty nose when I pick him up, and believe me I can live with that. This school has been a blessing for me and my son.

My daughter was delivered 5 weeks early, which did not leave me any time to look for a day care. Looked at many of schools before and after visiting this day care to seek out my options, and Shepherd School was the second place I visited and loved it. I loved how up beat the teachers were, especially the director. They answered all of my questions and I felt completely comfortable with the place once I left the school after just meeting with the teachers/director. I also did a few more drop by visits before my child even attended the school, no call ahead or anything, and everything looked just like the day I scheduled my appt to come in and meet everyone. My daughter is now 2.5 and still loves attending this school and also sometimes cries when I come to get her...BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT WANT TO LEAVE!! She loves the teachers and they take great care of her. Which is so comforting to a parent. She comes home singing new songs often, learns new things daily and even has come home speaking a little spanish (again, she is only 2.5!!) And now I have a 6 mon. old son who attends the school and he also leaves with a smile every day. :) Any questions or concerns I have ever had, they have answered or corrected immediately. I am so thankful to have found a great and loving SCHOOL like The Shepherd School!As for the the PP below, I do not know what they speak of. (Concerning food) My experience that has happened a few times-when I have gone to pick my kids up early and or right at lunch/snack time...they send her snack/food with us in the car. They want to make sure all kids are safe and healthy. They would never deny a child food...If you are looking for a day care in/near the downtown area...THE SHEPHERD SCHOOL IS THE PLACE TO BE!
