All Students Shine at St. Rita

Our children were enrolled in another Fort Worth Catholic School which was not meeting our expectations of building a Catholic Community and increasing spiritual meaning to our children. If you want an excellent Catholic Education, please visit St. Rita Catholic School in Fort Worth Texas. It is a small school with a huge opportunity for your children.

The weekly school Mass is wonderful. Children raise their hands, answer questions, sign language is used during songs and all children and faculty participate. The music was amazing and all children of all ages play. They sing in English, Spanish and Vietnemese. There too is choir and each grade responsible that day lead each Mass.I also noticed the older children sitting with the younger children as Mentors and helpers during Mass.

The classes at St. Rita too are unique. There is a variety of teaching and learning styles present to ensure all children are not left out and to ensure equal opportunity for learning. The faculty are all easy to talk to, are available when you need them and the children respect and honor them. Often you can stop in before or after school with no appointment. They too come to many events (sports, band, etc) to cheer their students.

One real impressive part was the Principal. She is always available, is often walking the hallways, knows the families and the children. She is present in class often too, reviewing the educational experience to ensure quality is taking place. She too is always available for any parent or child to stop in and talk. Children respect her.

The diversity is another unique plus for this school. Our children now have exposure to inclusiveness and to many ethnic backgrounds and traditions. They have a profound understanding of multiple cultures with respect and understanding and now know how important every culture is to our country. The Church offers a International Fair where all nationalities can come and share their traditions with food and dance. It is a great fundraiser and so much fun.

As a parent, our most impressive view of St. Rita is that all students "ALL STUDENTS" get the opportunity to shine and receive praise. No one is left out.

Our children have grown spiritually and academically over the past 18 months all due to switching schools. Our children, who has been identified as "odd" and "shy" at the other school now are participating is public speaking competitions, PSIA competitions, take part in all sports with great success due to the quality of coaching, is part of NJHS, an Altar Server, plays in the school band and music ministries. Both children have developed great friendships too.

They have a excellent Religion and Spanish program at the school. This school ciriculm offers computer classes twice a week and has a computer lab where any and all classes (from math to Spanish) utilize to enhance learning.

Teaching too delivers different opportunities by using current technology in the classroom like Clickers, option C, group projects using technology, virtual field trips and individual assistance with technology for both students and parents. Each student has the opportunity to learn at St. Rita. Teachers work to provide various teaching methods to ensure all learning styles are incorporated during class.

The presence of God is through out the hallways and class, sporting events, school events which has traveled into our home with much more discussion and praying from our children.
