The Sunset High school offers courses from grades nine through 12. It has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students and employs over 100 teachers. It offers advanced placement programs that enable students to earn college credits at more than 3,000 colleges and universities across the country. The school s career and technology education program provides more than 300 courses in health science, marketing, and trade and industrial education. Located in Dallas, the Sunset High school also has a career pathways group that offers guidelines for selecting elective subjects. Additionally, the school sponsors a variety of clubs, organizations, activities and performing groups. Its organizations provide community service projects, academic competitions, leadership development and career exploration activities. The school s extracurricular activities include football, basketball, volleyball, cross country, soccer, tennis, golf, swimming and wrestling.
