Brook Mays Music Company first opened its doors for business in 1901. Originally, the firm dealt exclusively in pianos and became the largest dealership of its kind in the entire region. In the forties, Brook Mays began to expand its merchandise lines to include organs, sheet music and a band instrument division. Today, the company consists of a family of 63 retail locations operating in eight states under 10 different brand names that are synonymous with quality musical instruments. The family includes: Brook Mays Music, Larsen Music, Caldwell Music, H&H Music, McMurray Music, McFadyeen Music, Pearson Music, Duncan Music, Dunham s Music and Zeswitz Music. In addition, the mail order and e-commerce divisions serve customers on both a national and international front. The company offers a broad range of educational services, complete repair and overhaul facilities and the nation's most extensive rental program of musical instruments. Brook Mays is headquartered in Dallas.
